46. She asked Sherlock out for coffee, but she doesn't even like coffee, unless it's extremely diluted in milk and sugar. She just knew that he practically survived on it.

47. She's still not sure how she ended up adopting Toby. She just went in to look a kittens, and an hour later, she was signing papers for a large-ish adult male tabby. He didn't play like the other cats, but when let out of his little crate, he just jumped into her lap and settled down there. Then he looked up at her with yellow eyes like, "Well, that's settled." And it was.

48. Her hair tangles absurdly easily, which is one of the reasons she likes to keep it pulled back.

49. She's thought about cutting her hair short, but...that's a big change.

50. Other than being...well...alone, and Sherlock Holmes, her life is going exactly as she's planned for a long time. Yes, those are two big things, but it's close enough that her friends call her "Little Miss Perfect."

51. She hates raisins. They're just...wrong, all gummy and leathery. What did the grapes ever do to deserve that fate?

52. She could probably count on one hand the number of times she's worn skirts in the last...several years. They just make her uncomfortable, like it's always riding up her legs, or stuck in the back, or any number of awful, embarrassing things. She's still unsure of what possessed her to pull out that gifted black dress for Sherlock's party. For the first few moments, with everyone staring, it made her feel pretty, but after that, she just felt stupid.

53. She's heard of Sherlock's brother's "kidnappings," but that's never happened to her. Once, before John, Mycroft Holmes came by and spoke to her about "compensating [her] to keep a woman's attentive eye on [his] brother." She politely turned him down, but will still call if she's concerned about Sherlock.

54. When she was in high school, her mother kept trying to get her "involved." Honestly- she's not good at sports, she gets stage fright, and she doesn't have patience with learning to play instruments. It was never going to happen. Instead, she spent most of those years reading old novels and talking about nonsense with Charlie...which suited her just fine.

55. For what's supposed to be a nice apartment, hers is a bit strange. It's always too cold (she's tested, and it is for everyone- she's always cold anyway), the shower squeals like a boiling kettle, and whenever the person upstairs flushes, the plumbing sounds like footsteps above her.

56. She used to hate the name Molly, when she was a kid. She wished her parents had named her something more exciting, but as she got older, she realized it fit her just right.

57. As a rule, she doesn't like superhero movies. Her friends dragged her to "Captain America" when there was nothing else to see, though, and she fell in love with Steve. As soon as "The Avengers" came out, she convinced them to go see it with her, but later attempts at conversation about the movie resulted in "Er, the popcorn was good," so she just got very excited to herself.

58. She likes her job- a lot. For some reason, she knows it's just right for her, and she's good at it. But most people don't want to hear what goes on in a morgue, so she keeps it to herself.

59. Her favourite type of ice cream was discontinued in 2010.

60. She tried to curl her hair once, and nearly burned the first strand she tried off, which resulted in a few months of very creative hairdos trying to conceal it.

61. She very rarely eats out. She's not a great cook, but she manages to make things work with the few recipes she knows by heart and the few from online that she tries in an attempt to be adventurous. Sometimes, though, looking at a pantry filled with nothing but crap and no ideas forthcoming as to how to whip it into something edible, she'll cave and buy takeout.

62. Charlie asked her to marry him once. She said no, and he gave her that crushed, puppy face that seemed so strange on such a tall, grown man. Then she'd hugged him, tight, until she was just sitting wrapped in his arms, and he said very quietly that he was just glad he'd gotten that over with, and they both cracked up.

63. She's not very sure that she would have ever married him. He was her best friend for so long, and they were so close, that it just seemed like there was nothing else for them to do but date. But he was her best friend, and going too far with the romantic relationship felt like ruining something else- something more important.

64. She loved the Redwall series (by Brian Jacques ) as a kid.

65. She has a lot of scented candles. She doesn't like the flowery ones- they feel like they belong to an old lady- but things like "french vanilla" and "autumn spice". She thought she might have to get rid of them when she got Toby, but he ignores them, and so her apartment always smells lovely.

66. She greatly admires anyone who can say no to Sherlock Holmes.

67. Her high school art class had a gallery exhibition with students' pieces once a year. One year, someone even bought one of her paintings: a drop of water splashing into a puddle. She made Charlie swear (repeatedly) that he hadn't put the buyer up to it.

68. She has never smoked, and she never will. She's seen first-hand what it does to one's lungs, and it holds no appeal. She flinches whenever Sherlock picks up a cigarette, and her lungs hurt in sympathy while watching any smoker.

69. She loves watching the night sky- watching the blacks and blues and indigos all swirl together, speckled with stars...the city, however, is not the best place for that.

70. She absolutely, definitely has her anorexia under control. Yes, she might skip a meal or two every once in awhile because the hunger gives her a sense of control, but she never lets it get to the point it did when she was fourteen. So she's fine. Perfectly fine.

71. All her mother ever wanted for Molly was for her to marry/become a rich doctor and live in a nice big suburban home with her three normal kids. Funny how things work out.

72. She's so awkward, she doesn't know how she's so good at talking to the families whose loved ones she examines. But she is, and that's a kind of gift. It's like these complete strangers get to see the best side of her. She wishes that side of her was around more often.

73. Her friends make fun of her sense of style. Meena says that she should show a bit more, what else are you going to do when you hit thirty and single, but Molly likes her baggy pants and soft cardigans, so they're staying.

74. She sings in the shower. Quietly and badly, but she likes the echo. Her voice isn't that bad, she just can't carry a tune. She's gotten used to the sound, though, and when the water's on as high and loud as it will go, she'll sing.

75. Christmas with Gran Eliza was the absolute best time of year- all the stupid traditions and cheap, thoughtful gifts, and the house too warm because that's how grandmothers' houses are (in Molly's mind). Cold windows with a dark, snowy landscape outside, perfect for smudging with nose-prints to remind yourself that it was actually quite nice inside. Molly's parents were never around for Christmas, but that was okay.

76. She realizes that if she briefly described her childhood, her parents would be strangely absent, but it's not like it might sound. It's not that her parents didn't care for her, they just never really related to each other. She still has fond memories- that tends to happen after eighteen years of living with someone. Her dad, going over her homework with her, teaching her the most efficient ways to solve different quadratic equations. Her mum, pulling back her hair and telling her fairytales. She's kind of sad that they grew apart, and not closer, as she grew up.

77. She thinks Lestrade is funny, though she's not sure if this is intentional on his part. They have a running joke about a support group for anyone who's involved with Sherlock on a regular basis.

78. She loves living in the city. There's always somewhere to go, something to do, someone to meet...

79. She read The Hunger Games series after it became popular. She's still not really sure what she was expecting- not that. They were good, though.

80. She's very sensitive to spicy foods. It doesn't take much to have her eyes watering, mouth burning, tongue itching, coughing and desperate to erase the fire. Meena keeps making her try Indian food, and Molly's convinced it just gets worse every time.

81. Someday she's going to confront Sherlock about pickpocketing people when they annoy him. Really. She will.

82. Is she old? She's not sure.

83. She knows she's short. You don't need to keep reminding her.

84. She doesn't understand or like brightly-coloured underclothes. They make her very uncomfortable, as if someone might see them, and what's the point, since no one's going to see them. White, cream, tan, gray...just no bright colours.

85. It's been a very long time since someone hugged her. She hates that.

86. She used to watch football (or soccer or futbol or whatever you like) because Charlie played it. It took her an embarrassingly long time to get the hang of all the rules, but she went to every single game and cheered him on. One time, she turned away for just one second, when the crowd let out a collective "Ooohhhhh!" and when she looked back again, he was laying on the ground, very still. He didn't move for what seemed like a very long time, and her heart stopped beating. Then his head turned to the side very slowly, and he propped himself up.

Molly never found out what happened that day that resulted in her best friend collapsed on the grass, but when the game ended, she hugged him so hard that he- 6'3" Charlie- groaned for her to stop breaking his ribs.

In hindsight, that was actually a really good day.

87. She does a lot of walking. It's nice living where she can just walk to and from work, and she almost always does. One of the best things about being a pedestrian during rush hour is people-watching. She tries not to be creepy about it, she just really enjoys watching people, making guesses at their lives... nothing like Sherlock, of course, but it satisfies the lonely little part of her. Another good thing about walking is that the exercise, the not-exactly-fresh air, clears her head.

88. She works a lot. She's accepted the fact that it's her job to deal with Sherlock when he strolls into the morgue at two in the morning and sends the entire staff texts saying he needs an assistant, but besides that, she doesn't have that much else to do, and she has a sense of pride in what she does. So she works a lot.

89. Sometimes, she can make people smile. That's the best feeling in the world.

90. Even though she's just small, weak, clever little Molly, she wishes that she could protect the people she loves.
I've been working on this on and off for the past week(ish?), because one just isn't enough.

WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO???

Anyway, more Molly love. And some stuff cleared up, hopefully. Comment, please, I love to know what you think (even if it takes me FOREVER to get back to you. e.e)!
